Spline Shafts
Spline shafts transmit torque through multiple mating teeth and can also provide accurate rotational location between connected components. Ever-Power organizes the range by mating interface so buyers can compare external spline shafts, internal spline components and integrated gear-and-spline shafts without relying on nominal shaft diameter alone.

Choose the spline family by the mating interface
External spline shafts engage an internal hub, gear, yoke or sleeve. Internal spline components place the mating teeth inside a bore and may be selected when the assembly envelope favors a female interface on the shaft-side component. Gear-and-spline shafts combine two torque-transfer features on one component, so the gear, spline, journals and shoulders need a common datum strategy and a clear axial relationship.
Start with the part that already exists in the assembly. If the mating hub or gearbox input is fixed, identify its tooth system, engagement and locating features before finalizing the shaft. When both members are new, define the interface together so tooth geometry, fit, material condition and inspection method are compatible from the beginning.

Geometry to define before quotation
A production drawing normally needs more than tooth count. Define the module or pitch system, pressure angle, major and minor diameters, tooth thickness or space width as applicable, effective engagement and the fit or tolerance basis. Show the total shaft length and the relationship between the spline and any bearing journals, pilot diameters, seal lands, gears or shoulders that locate the component in service.
If the shaft is a replacement, avoid copying dimensions only from a worn tooth surface. Compare unworn features, the mating part and the original locating datums. A photograph helps identify general form, but measurable geometry should come from the drawing, reliable measurement or the mating component.
Material and heat-treatment options
The current range includes C45, 20CrMo and 18CrNiMo7-6 examples with different heat-treatment conditions. Material and heat treatment should be reviewed together with section size, wear requirement, impact or reversing load, distortion risk and the finishing operations required after heat treatment. Surface hardness alone does not define the complete material condition.

Tootmise ja kontrolli planeerimine
Depending on geometry and quantity, the process route may include turning, spline milling or another suitable tooth-generation method, heat treatment, finish machining and inspection. Internal splines and external splines can require different tooling access. Shoulders, gears and nearby journals can also influence which process is practical.
Inspection should follow the characteristics called out on the drawing. Functional spline gaging, analytical tooth measurement, CMM inspection, runout checks, roughness measurement and hardness testing answer different questions. Agree the critical characteristics and reporting requirements before production when first-article documentation or repeatability is important.
